Dr. Bonte is an interventional pain specialist and physiatrist, and founder of Bonte Medical. He is board-certified by The American Board of Pain Medicine and The American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. He has also been certified for an Added Qualification in Headache Medicine by the National Headache Foundation.
Dr. Bonte understands on a human level that experiencing painful conditions can be scary, overwhelming, stressful, and frustrating, and that no two people experience pain the same way. That's why he founded Bonte Medical - a practice focused on providing patient-centered care to meet each patient's unique needs and treatment goals. Dr. Bonte will offer you treatments to decrease your pain and restore your quality of life.
Dr. Bonte received his medical degree from NYU School of Medicine. He completed his residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at NYU Langone Medical Center, where he was elected administrative chief resident. He also completed a subspecialty fellowship in interventional pain medicine at Hudson Spine and Pain Medicine, and is fellowship trained to provide technically advanced, minimally invasive procedures for the treatment of pain. He remains actively engaged in research and academics, with an interest in the nonoperative management of orthopedic conditions. He is a member of the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (AAPM&R), the Spine Intervention Society (SIS). the North American Neuromodulation Society (NANS), and the National Headache Foundation (NHF). He has an academic affiliation with Northern Westchester Hospital and is a Clinical Instructor of Rehabilitation at NYU Langone Medical Center.
In his spare time, Dr. Bonte enjoys spending time with his family and friends, traveling, sailing, running, and swimming.

The office was super clean. Dr. Bonte basically gave me an anatomy lesson of the knee and explained in detail what was causing my pain. Then he relived the pain, and we made an ongoing treatment plan together.
If you have any kind of pain, you have to go see Dr. Bonte! Before I saw Dr. Bonte I didn't even know what I physiatrist was! I had excruciating knee pain and could barely walk up a flight of stairs. Most of the doctors listed on Zocdoc were knee surgeons, but to me surgery is a last resort. Dr. Bonte carefully examined my knee by touch, by xray, and with an ultrasound. I won't go through all the gruesome details, but I will tell you that I feel amazing already! Instant relief with a prescription for PT. He explained other treatment options we could pursue if this simple option does not do the trick.
Also, the office staff was amazing. They sorted out the problem I had been having with my insurance company for a year.

From my initial contact, which was with Liza, I felt welcomed and at ease. Liza was very accommodating, thorough, efficient and a pleasure to interact with. This was the exact same with Dr.Bonte. I usually read reviews before deciding on a provider and will become dissuaded if I see any negative reviews (of course that's not fair or realistic as you can't please everyone). However I did not find any negative comments regarding Dr.Bonte and this will NOT be one either. He was attentive, appeared genuinely interested in my issue, asked relevant questions, and provided preliminary assessments after a brief physical which turned out to be inline with the ultrasound results (small tear in shoulder muscle). He explained everything he was doing, provided alternative treatment options and prepped me appropriately along the way. Great doctor!! I wish there were more like him. Before I even left the office I was feeling 90% better!

I had such a great experience with Dr. Bonte! When I initially made the appt I was told “he won’t let you leave in pain”. And that statement was very accurate. I went in with really bad neck pain. After a thorough exam, he explained a few different options. I picked one and he proceeded with injections within minutes. It has only been a few hours, but I’m already feeling some relief. I would highly recommend Dr. Bonte to anyone seeking pain management. He is intelligent, kind, and clearly cares about his patients. Thank you Dr. Bonte!!

Dr. Bonte is the real deal. He listened to my never-ending narrative regarding past experiences, what worked, what hasn't, so on and so fourth. He was thorough in his questioning and in his explanations. He gave me multiple options for my lower back pain, and was actually able to do conduct a pain relief procedure, same day. He really took the time to understand what I was going through, and came up with a plan of action.
The office is very hip! Very clean, and receptionist was especially friendly. I will be back (in the best way possible)!

Office is very "Zen" like, warm, relaxing and inviting. It was great to see that the Purchase/Harrison/Portchester area now has a Pain Management Doctor. After struggling with chronic headaches my whole life, seeing him was a life changer for me. From making the initial appointment to leaving after being seen, Doc and staff treatment was friendly and professional, top notch care.

Dr. Bonte is terrific. I was experiencing some back and neck pain following a skiing injury, beyond the care of my general providers. I was referred to Dr. Bonte by my GP and can see why. I barely waited to be helped when I checked in and the staff and Dr. Bonte were all very friendly and helpful. I especially loved how Dr. Bonte really took his time to explain my conditions as well as my treatment options. I received trigger point injections that day and was back on the slope in a week. I had a great visit and Dr. Bonte's demeanor has really put me at ease so I highly recommend this clinic.

Dr. Bonte is excellent. Really patient, thorough, and caring - when I was having persistent knee pain he was able to diagnose what the issue was and get it fixed. Not only that, he took the time to explain why it may have happened and what I could do to prevent a recurrence (and it hasn't popped up since!) Highly recommend.

The compassion and attentiveness he shows his patients is evident as soon as you step into the office. I appreciate the clear and concise language he uses to satisfy all of my concerns.
