I went to Dr. Wood for the first time for a physical. She was very thorough and a great listener. She really took her time and answered any questions/concerns I had. I felt very comfortable and will continue seeing her as my primary care doctor.

Dr. Wood was great! Really listened and put me at ease despite a somewhat uncomfortable issue. Great bedside manner and a thoughtful approach to care and treatment. The whole staff was very friendly and the whole process from check-in to getting lab work down was very efficient and Covid-safe.

What made you want to become a health care provider or what is your earliest memory of wanting to be one?
I have wanted to be a doctor since I was a child. I was inspired by both of my parents who served in the medical field.
What do you love most about your specialty? / Why did you choose your specialty?
I love that I can follow patients for a lifetime. I can be their Pediatrician and their adult doctor. I love that my training gives me a better ability to put families first & offers them the convenience of everyone seeing one doctor.
How do you connect with your patients?
I connect with patients by getting to know them outside of their health history. Understanding a person's interests and lifestyle is invaluable when partnering with them to set health goals.
What are your interests outside of the office (hobbies, activities)?
Outside of the office, I enjoy spending time with my husband and two daughters, going to church, and supporting our favorite college football team on Saturdays. I love to exercise and have recently added functional fitness/crossfit to my routine, in addition to cycling, reading, and playing with my kids.
What is your advice for your patients?
Take time to be healthy now so you don't have to take time to be sick later. Preventive medicine is key.
