Dr. Sosin received her medical degree from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey - Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, and graduated from their residency program in Obstetrics and Gynecology in 2013. Dr. Sosin is Board Certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and is a member of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. For the last five years, Dr. Sosin has dedicated herself to private practice and the high-quality care of her patients at Capitol Women's Care in Silver Spring, Maryland. Dr. Sosin is a patient-focused provider who emphasizes building relationships with her patients and works towards creating a personalized treatment plan. Patients visit her for a wide spectrum of common and specialized medical needs, including general gynecological care, gynecological procedures, as well as prenatal care. Dr. Sosin has pursued special training and gained specialized experience with minimally invasive gynecologic procedures. She wasn’t friendly at all, didn’t seem to be interested in what I was saying about my symptoms, she made me feel very uncomfortable by her short answers “ I don’t know “ that’s what she kept saying to every question I asked her. I feel like she was rushing me. I was out of that room in less than 10 minutes.The worst part was having someone in the room while she was examining me without even introducing herself. How do you let someone starring at my private part without introducing herself. I really hope she was only having a bad day! Also it’s been almost two weeks since I saw her, no one has contacted me yet about the results or a follow up visit. Unbelievable!!!

I really wanted to like this place, given its proximity to my apartment, but all three visits I’ve had have been terrible. On visit 1 I mentioned that it was my anniversary with my same sex partner and Dr. Sosin continued to misgender my partner, even after multiple corrections. The second visit was for a pap. I informed Dr. Sosin I needed the smallest speculum, which she used but she had so much difficulty and her attempts were so painful that she did not complete the exam. She then proceeded to question whether ANY OBGYN had ever been able to perform an exam on me, as if it were a failing on my part. I’ve seen many OBGYNs over the years and none of them ever had that level of difficulty or caused that much discomfort/pain. I should have made that my last visit but for some unknown reason I tried again today. I entered the office to find at least 10 people in the small waiting room. There were so many people there (at least three of them wearing masks that did not cover their nose AND mouth) that it was impossible to social distance. I waited a few minutes but once more people entered the waiting room, I left. It was clear to me that the office was not taking the safety of their patients into consideration while we are in the midst of a global pandemic. I will not be back and I would not recommend this place.

Long wait. Dr. Sosin is wonderful, and I was hoping to keep her as my doctor. However having an unexpected visitor come into the room during an examination is completely unacceptable. Dr. Sison now has a chaperone due to liability issues, and the patient cannot opt out. If you are ok with a non medical person in the room watching your privates get examined, than I recommend Dr. Sosin.

I've seen this doctor 3 times now and every time I've had to wait at least 40 minutes (not an exaggeration). The doctor is nice but I don't think anyone should wait this long - the waiting room is always filled with patients waiting. I also don't understand why they would call patients into the exam room, only to have them sit and wait there too. Additionally, the lab area doesn't seem clean and even the phlebotomist admitted it.

I really like Dr. Sosin. She is very smart and knowledgeable. She has great bedside manner. She is always prepared and has read my records ahead of our meetings. I like her a lot and hope to have a long-relationship with her as my OBGYN.
Each time I visit, I am usually underwhelmed by her nurses/staff. Today her nurse/staff asked me an inappropriate question ("is this a happy pregnancy?") and poorly prepped me for the doctor's examination. Today, the nurse/staff had me get underdressed for no reason. The doctor did not need to do a vaginal examine. The nurse/staff had me urinate in a cup and then later told me it was not necessary. The nurse/staff did not check with the doctor to determine if I needed to provide urine. It is almost like staff/nurse didn’t communicate with the doctor and was just telling me anything that came to mind. I use the nomenclature nurse/staff because the credentials of her staff are not clear to me.

Let's first start saying, I don't like going to the gyno. I get very nervous and stressed out. I was seeking a new doctor, as I was in NYC now Jersey. Must say, the receptionist was super cool and just had the mannerism to put me to ease. Than an assistant in a private area asks about your health records/concerns. Takes weight and blood pressure. This was a good experience, as the girl had a lovely personality. Than you go into the "exam" room. Nice clean big room. The wait was long, was a bit uncomfortable waiting in the room with just the paper covering me up. When Dr. Sosin came in (she looks so young in person), I wasn't sure if she was the doctor initially! She's super sweet, and she sensed/and I conveyed I'm a bad/nervous patient. She really wanted to hear my concerns, listen to me. Also she apologized for running late. She put me to ease immediately! She explained everything she was going to do. She conversed the entire exam, so I was super comfortable which is usually not the case. Ladies, this doctor is fantastic! Furthermore, the facility does blood work on sight, and kuddos out to the Phlebotomist. Didn't feel a think. She's very quick, friendly, and professional. So five stars to the doctor and all the staff. The wait was a bit longer than I expected, but there were many pregno ladies there, so it's the nature of the field.

I started as a new patient last September (2018) seeing Dr. Sosin, and I love it there. The office is very welcoming and kind.
I love Dr. Sosin and I don't want to see anyone else.
Also, to quote from an episode of New Girl: She's a wizard with a speculum. Hahaha. I never even feel it. She's quick, gentle, personable, so KIND. She answers any questions you might have, and asks if you're okay with everything. She's very open and honest. I just went for my first annual exam done by her, and I didn't even feel her do my Pap. I've had no cramping since my Pap with Dr. Sosin, and like I said, I didn't even feel her opening the speculum.
The front staff are sweethearts, as well as all the Medical Assistants in the back. I'm so happy I found Dr. Sosin and this office. It's easy to make an appointment, especially if you use ZocDoc, and they're very responsive if you have questions. Through ZocDoc (they'll call you) or if you email them (they'll email you back, or call you).
I did wait quite a bit this time, but I think there may have been a slight emergency with another couple and her pregnancy. However, Dr. Sosin apologized over and over about the wait and thanked for me waiting and understanding. Every other appointment I've had with Dr. Sosin (I've had 3 others, all booked through ZocDoc), I was seen within 15 minutes, if that. :)
