Very nice doctor who first wanted to make sure I am physically able to conceive on my own before moving on to procedures that my insurance doesn't cover. My insurance covers the initial tests, one of which can let me know when I'm ovulating. This is important for me since I have PCOS and my cycle isn't the usual 10 days. The office offers a financial advisor that let's you know how much procedures cost out of pocket.

Dr. Beth McAvey is a Board Certified Reproductive Endocrinologist and Fertility Specialist who has earned the respect and admiration of her patients and colleagues for her compassionate care and her clinical expertise. Prior to joining RMA of New York in 2015, Dr. McAvey treated infertile couples at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine and Montefiore Medical Center’s Institute for Reproductive Medicine and Health. She is on the faculty at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, treating patients for infertility, providing assisted reproductive technologies and minimally-invasive gynecological surgery, and performing egg freezing for both medical and social indications. Dr. McAvey is board certified in obstetrics and gynecology and is a fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. She is also a member of both the American Society for Reproductive Medicine and the Society of Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility.
After graduating with honors from Syracuse University, Dr. McAvey earned a graduate degree in Reproductive Biology, summa cum laude, from Johns Hopkins University. She then earned her medical degree from the State University of New York Downstate Medical Center,completing her residency training at the New York Presbyterian Hospital, Weill Cornell Medical Center and her sub-specialty training in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at Montefiore Medical Center. Dr. McAvey is the recipient of the Distinguished House Staff Award from New York Presbyterian Hospital and an award for surgical excellence in gynecology from the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists. She is also recognized as a 2018 New York Super Doctor and 2019 Castle Connolly Top Doctor.

I have been going to Dr. McAvey for over 2.5 years for various fertility treatment. It has been a hard time for me and my partner. However, Dr. McAvey has been very helpful answering our questions and helping us to find treatments. Dr. McAvey was always compassionate and understanding. I would recommend her to any patient seeking fertility treatment.
