About Dr. Blair Rhode
Dr. Rhode completed his sports medicine training at the Southern California Center for Sports Medicine. This is an accredited fellowship institution where Dr. Rhode spent an additional year training in complicated reconstruction of the shoulder, knee and elbow. Prior to that, he completed his five-year surgical residency at the Medical College of Wisconsin and his four-year medical training at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Dr. Rhode is also triple-board certified in orthopedic surgery, orthopedic sports medicine, and by the American Board of Independent Medical Examiners, which governs impairment ratings. Dr. Rhode is trained in all orthopedic injuries and specializes in knee, shoulder, and elbow reconstruction. He has received specialty training in all-arthroscopic rotator cuff repair, arthroscopic shoulder instability repair and knee ligament reconstruction. He was one of the first surgeons in the United States to perform the Oxford partial knee replacement and the double bundle ACL reconstruction. Dr. Rhode frequently serves as an educator for the Arthroscopy Association of America, teaching other orthopedic surgeons knee and shoulder arthroscopy. Surgeons trust Dr. Rhode to teach them the complicated procedures that they perform in their own practice. "My goal is to educate the patient such that they understand their condition and the risks and benefits of each treatment. Most aspects of orthopedic surgery are not life and death situations. More often, a change in quality of life must be weighed against the risks of a particular treatment. An informed patient is able to determine what course of treatment is appropriate for them."

Patient reviews for Dr. Blair Rhode
Great office! I felt heard by the doctor. Clean. Great staff! Would recommend ;)
He took the time to answer our questions and explain the healing process to us. Would highly recommend him.
When describing medical terms we did not know he used pictures which helped. He also provides his professional opinion but also provided my daughter with options. Everyone in the office was very pleasant!
Dr. Rhode was amazing and I look forward to continuing to work with him. Highly recommend!
I was more than satisfied with my visit.
Dr. Rhode was very prompt, welcoming and a great bedside manner. He was very professional but made me feel like he’s met me before. I would highly recommend him.
Very professional and knowledgeable, definitely would go back!!
Great bedside manner very friendly And knowledgeable. I enjoyed his staff as well
He's a very sociable doctor. I feel he can help, with a quicker turnaround.
Great doctor, great office. Very personable and good at explaining medical options.
I had an appointment with Dr. Mark Borbick. What a wonderful doctor and staff. From the front desk staff to the x ray techs to the nurses, everyone was exceptionally great. I would recommend them in a heart beat. I am trying now to see if I can get insurance to continue getting treatment from their office. God bless this office.
Great busy. Knows his stuff.
Dr. Rhode was immediately friendly, listened well and provided advice with confidence. He answered my questions and took a conservative approach to my problem. For me, that shows he got a "read" on my attitude about how aggressive I wanted to be. I would definitely recommend seeing him for sports-related injuries.
Outsanding visit, a doctor that takes the time to listen to his patients questions and concerns!
Another great visit
Blair Rhode greats you with a smile, very courtious and professional. He tells it like it is and doesn't do any unnecessary treatments.
Great visit. This was my first time here. The doctor explained to me more about my condition than any one else has in the 10 years I've been dealing with it. I would definitely see him again.
Dr. Rhode was great. I could tell he sincerely wanted to get to the bottom of the what was causing me pain. He was smart with his questions and thorough with his exam. His explanation style was helpful and easy to follow. I was very impressed and will see him again if my issue requires further treatment but am hopeful it will not.
One of the best visits I ever had with a doctor. Was a new patient and the front desk was very friendly. Possibly the shortest wait time Ive ever had to see a doctor, ever. His assistants were nice and Dr. Rhode was super friendly, funny and knowledgeable. Have already recommended him to friends and family. Very clean office too.
Consummate professional! Very knowledgeable & informative. Great experience & I will be returning!
Met with the PA who was very thorough and answered all my quesitons
He churns and burns patients, the office is a dump. He wrote me a prescription for an unknown controlled substance. Would never recommend.
Too cocky for me. He was unprofessional and very full of himself. He spent no time asking me much of anything.
He introduced himself as Blair, not Dr. Rhode. I thought that was personable. From there, he was friendly and light, and made me feel good about my condition which turned out to be not serious.
Excellent! I would recommend him to anyone!
I think the visit was a little rushed, most likely because I was the last patient for the day, and of course that made me forget about some questions that I wanted to ask but due to being kind of rushed I forgot to ask. He is very friendly and will not worry you with unnecessary things, but I kinda felt like I left and my problem was still left unresolved.
Quick and painless. Good diagnosis and no procedures needed due to opinion.
I absolutely loved the entire staff. Dr. Rhode was great! He fixed me right up! No need to go to Rush when I can just go see Dr. Rhode In Orland! Wonderful experience!
He was very clear in his explanation of my problem and how he would treat it. I thought of more questions after I left that I should have asked him. I felt a little rushed.
It was great, I went late because of the traffic and the place is to far from my location 1:30 from Chicago. People there very nice and helpful. Dr Blair was so good. Thank u all
Really a great experience - both the office staff and Dr. Rhode. Unlike doctors that I've seen in the past, he took the time to thoroughly diagnose my injury and talk through the alternative treatments. I would highly recommend Dr. Rhode to anyone with a sports injury.
Dr. Rhode was very congenial, and he was knowledgeable about my problem. However, his office was out of the way and difficult to find. No one gave us directions, so it took us quite a while to find the office. We parked in the back of the building because there were no places on the side only to find out that we had to go to the side of the building. When we went to the side of the building, there was a sign that said we had to go to the front of the building. Soooo, we had to walk almost all the way around the building to find the entrance. Also, while I was waiting in the examining room, I heard the doctors and nurses talking loudly in the hall. It seemed as though they had time to waste while I was waiting. All in all, my opinion of Dr. Rhode is favorable, and I will see him again if I have another similar problem.
Great doc! Took time to answer all my questions!
