More about Dr. Bradford Winegar, MD
Dr. Winegar's education began at McCallum High School in Austin. Upon high school graduation, he attended Northwestern University in Chicago and graduated from Southwestern Medical School in Dallas in 1980. His surgical internship was at the Medical University of South Carolina. He finished his specialty training with a residency in Otolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery at Duke University Medical Center in 1985. He has special interests in surgery for chronic sinus disease, allergy, hearing loss and ear disease, and pediatric ENT.
Dr. Winegar is Board Certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Otolaryngology/Head and Neck Surgery. He is a member of the American Medical Association, Texas Medical Association, Travis County Medical Society, and the Downtown Rotary Club of Austin. He has served as President of the Austin Ear, Nose and Throat Clinic, one of the largest ENT clinics in the nation. He has also served as Chief of Otolaryngology at Seton Medical Center and the associated Seton Hospitals in Central Texas. He has served on numerous hospital committees, including the Medical Executive Committee. Dr. Winegar has also been able to participate in several mission trips to EFATA, an indigent deaf school in Lima, Peru, where his focus has been fitting hearing aids and providing much needed surgical procedures. He has had the honor of being named by his peers for the Texas Monthly SuperDoctors for 2004 and 2005.
Dr. Winegar enjoys spending his time off with his wife and three sons. He has coached their basketball, baseball, football and soccer teams. His family also enjoys boating, water skiing and snow skiing.

I got into the first room pretty quick for the hearing test (about 15 min wait) but waited in the inner room for a long time. Apt was at 2:45 and got done about 4:30. He was great tho and very thorough. The staff is kind and courteous and efficient. Easy parking in garage next-door ($4).

Dr. Winegar asked excellent questions and got to the bottom of my vocal problems immediately (I'm a classically trained singer). When I fussed about tinnitus he suggested a hearing test which we did on the spot, not with a second appointment. Just plain enjoyed the visit!
