Dr. Cizmar is Board Certified with the American Board of Obstetrics & Gynecology. He obtained his medical degree from Comenius University in Bratislava, Slovakia and completed his internship and residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Michigan State University, Grand Rapids, Michigan.
He is a fellow with the American College of OB/GYN as well as American College of Surgeons. He is also professionally affiliated with the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists.
He has been recognized as “Physician of the Year” at Palomar Medical Center in Birth Center (2009) and awarded “Special Excellence in Endoscopic procedures” by AAGL (2003).
In addition to specializing in Gynecology and Obstetrics, his special interests include DaVinci roboticc surgery, minimally invasive Gynecology, urogynecology, pelvic reconstructive surgery, infertility, and high risk obstetrics.
Dr. Cizmar was born in Slovakia. He relocated to North County from Brawley, California where he had been in private practice. He lives in San Marcos and has one son. He enjoys skiing, scuba diving, swimming, foreign languages and traveling.

I arrived 30 min before my appointment. The wait time was horrible it took 2hrs! Everyone who had gotten there AFTER me was called into a room BEFORE I was and I was the last one to get called in. When I was finally in the room Dr.Branislav seemed to be in a hurry which is understanding since the clinic had already closed, but it's not my fault the clinic schedule was running late especially since I arrived 30 minutes before my appointment time...

Let me just say this, I have been dealing with my health issues for almost the last year of my life and have been seeing specialist after specialist. Not ever once addressing my concerns or what my options were for my health and my well being. They told me what they thought should be done, from some shot that would of thrown me a 43 year old woman into temporary sever metapause without any concerns weather or not that was my only option or just easier for them. All I wanted was for someone to care enough to take the time and talk to me and just care and explain the severity of my situation and give me the best option for me. I almost gave up and today came into his office and got exactly what I have been looking for in an OBGYN.

I love Dr Cizmar. I had such a wonderful experience with him delivering my 2nd child that he is the only one I trust and would want to deliver any more children for me. He and his staff are personable and simply great! I highly recommend him! (On a side note: the last appt of the day can have a higher wait time but anytime i have had a morning or mid-day appt my wait time has been immediate and never exceeded 15 minutes.)
