Dr. Kelly is a Pittsburgh native who earned his medical degree at the Indiana University School of Medicine in Indianapolis. He completed his residency in orthopaedic surgery with the Allegheny Health Network (AHN) in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
He went on to complete additional training through a fellowship in sports medicine and shoulder surgery at Mississippi Sports Medicine and Orthopaedic Center in Jackson, and Tulane University in New Orleans, Louisiana.
Dr. Kelly has submitted research abstracts and presented his findings to medical audiences around the country and is a published author in multiple medical journals. He has served as team physician for several high schools and colleges, as well as the Pittsburgh Pirates.
