I liked Dr. McKee and felt he addressed and covered all my eyesight issues due to my multiple sclerosis. I realized my visit would be long since I was a new patient, but I was not expecting the drop-in evaluations while the doctor and techs treated other patients.

It's sad when a doctor takes the attitude that their patients are an inconvenience to them. They miss obvious signs like when putting something on someone's eye is causing them pain. Dr McKee, my prayer is that you read this and take it to heart. You probably thought I was just being difficult, I wasn't I was in such a rush to get back to work, after already being in your office for over 2 hours, that I sat and endured the pain as much as I could. You didn't stop to think that maybe I was legitimately in pain. No, you just acted like I was being a child. Even though You didn't say anything to me, I could tell you were getting exasperated with me. Me, the patient, who was in pain at your hand. Which brings me to my second point. You lied to me. That "completely painless" procedure was not completely painless.
I have been a patient at James River Eye Physicians for over 10 years and have always been afforded exemplary service from the entire staff. Dr. McKee is punctual, professional and current in our discussions yet I feel part of the family whenever I walk through the door. I could not recommend Dr. McKee and his office more highly.
All of my visits are always excellent.
Excellent service.
I am in the process of cataract surgery. Dr Mckee is the best opthalmologist I have ever dealt with. I have been wearing glasses for over 50 years. The staff is terrific. Very caring and waiting is kept at a minimum. I highly recommend this practice.
