Brieda Staunton is a certified Nurse Practitioner who joined our practice in January of 2023. She completed her undergraduate studies at Illinois State University, where she received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing. After working as an oncology nurse for 12 years, Brieda went on to pursue her Master of Science in Nursing at Chamberlain University. She became a Board-Certified Nurse Practitioner in 2022.
As a practitioner, Brieda strives to establish relationships with her patients that encourage open and honest conversations surrounding her patient’s health and care plan. She is passionate about reproductive health education, particularly in young women. She is interested in providing care and counseling to women in prenatal care, preventative care, and family planning. Brieda also has previous experience and interest in medical weight loss.
“Being an oncology nurse taught me how important it is to be compassionate and empathetic in my approach to caring for patients. Every individual patient has a different and unique health care journey, and I believe it is my job to establish trust and provide them with as much information as possible so they can feel confident in their path forward.”
