Made appt through zocDoc but facility I went to was not aware of the appt. Had to register and explain I made appointments online through zoc doc. Minor issue with communication between zocdoc n facility. However, facility still seen my son. Facility is wonderful!

Dr. Hedrick grew up in Indiana where she attended Butler University. Prior to medical school, Dr. Hedrick worked as a high school substitute teacher, working specifically with special education students. Additionally, she volunteered at the National Institute of Fitness and Sport in Indianapolis, where she educated elementary school children on how to lead healthy, active lifestyles. Dr. Hedrick enrolled in Medical School at Indiana University in Indianapolis, IN and soon fell in love with Orthopaedic Surgery. She then went on to complete an Orthopaedic Surgery residency at the University of Michigan and easily felt at home in Michigan over those 5 years. Helping others and giving back to the community has always been a passion for Dr. Hedrick. During her Orthopaedic residency training, she traveled to underserved populations such as the Dominican Republic where she provided Orthopaedic care. After residency, Dr. Hedrick pursued further Orthopaedic surgical training specializing in Pediatric Orthopaedic Surgery at Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children in Dallas, Texas. She now returns to the great state of Michigan and is eager to provide excellent care to the children and young adults in southeast Michigan.

The doctor and medical staff here were fantastic but the front receptionist was a nightmare. She didn’t have our prestige and sent me on a two hour wild goose chase trying to get them when she could’ve made one phone call. Then we found out they had been sent to her the Friday before our Tuesday appointment. She never once apologized, she was very loud about how “they” did this or that wrong and she was right. Two hours sitting and waiting in a busy orthopedic office with a heart transplanted eight year old trying to keep her mask on and hands clean was a very rough experience.

The Children’s Hospital Specialty center Canton was very clean and welcoming. We didn’t wait long to see Dr Hedrick and she was very lovely to speak with. She was respectful of me as a parent as well as, took her time examining and speaking directly to my daughter, which was very much appreciated! When we left, my 5yo daughter said she wants Dr Hedrick to be her Dr for everything!

Wonderful staff all around! Check in was a little slow but we were first time patients in this office so we had extra paperwork to fill out and with Covid 19 procedures in place there was only so much they could do at the front desk. However, once we got back into the room everyone was quick, very nice and to the point! They took great care of my son.
