Dr. Prager is an experienced orthopedic surgeon who has practiced in Texas since finishing his training. His undergraduate degree was obtained at the University of Pittsburgh where he obtained his B.S. in the Honors program of Biology. As a native of New Jersey, Dr. Prager attended medical school at New York Medical College. While at medical school Dr. Prager became interested in orthopedics and completed his residency at Wayne State University in Detroit. Always having an interest in sports, Dr. Prager then received a fellowship in sports medicine and arthroscopy at Saint Frances Medical Center of the University of Illinois. He also completed an A-O Trauma fellowship at Queens University Medical Centre in Nottingham, England. Dr. Prager is an assistant clinical professor at the University of Texas Southwestern School of Allied Health.
Since 1985, Dr. Prager has practiced in the DFW metroplex. He has been a neutral physician for the NFL for the past 13 years examining players from numerous teams including the Dallas Cowboys. Dr. Prager has been team physician for several high school football teams as well as the Texas Tornado Hockey team. He also has a special interest in football injuries and has published and presented at national meetings. One of Dr. Prager's interests is minimally invasive surgery. He continues to pursue his studies in this area.
Recreational activities include tennis, skiing and staying fit.

It would have been nice to know I would be seeing the physician assistant not the actual doctor. The staff was extremely nice and courteous and so was the assistant. I was xrayed, diagnosed and treated within 45 minutes of being there which is amazing. My only complaint was a patient without a mask was in the lobby and spoke to front desk and they did not tell her to put one on. They did tell the man on the phone to pull his up though.

He was very brief and straight to the point kind of person. He wasn't rude at all. And if I ever had a hand issue again I'd go to him. Wait time was really fast both times that I went through. I don't remember waiting hours or checking my phone to see how long it took.

Dr Prager is amazing! I had been to two other orthopedic surgeons for my chronic back pain and scoliosis in the past two months and each only took X-rays and sent me away with prescriptions. I wanted answers, not drugs! Dr Prager promised me he 'would not drop the ball' on this issue and ordered additional testing and even spent time going through my long list of questions. He was very patient and genuinely cared about my health. I highly recommend Dr Prager to anyone in need of a great orthopedic doctor.

He wasn't that friendly. I know the doctors are professionals and they know best but I felt I needed a knee brace and he wouldn't perscribe one for me. I'll never go back again. Thank you anyway.
