Dr. Bryan Roof grew up in the southeast portion of Houston, in Seabrook. He attended the University of Texas at Dallas, earning an undergraduate degree in Psychology and a Master’s degree in Applied Cognition and Neuroscience. He then earned his Doctorate in Optometry from the University of Houston.
After graduation, he practiced as an eye doctor for several years in rural south Texas, providing advanced medical and routine eye care in a small town. He then returned to Houston to continue to provide advanced eye care with a personal touch.
Dr. Roof is certified to treat a wide range of eye diseases and disorders, including glaucoma and macular degeneration, as well as manage ocular complications of other diseases like Diabetes. He specializes in the anterior segment of the eye, including the treatment of Dry Eye Disease and the fitting of advanced contact lenses for conditions such as Keratoconus. His chairside manner is patient and thorough, and places an emphasis on education about his patient’s eye health.
Aside from his practice, Dr. Roof enjoys spending time with his wife, Kristi, and his son, Wesley. He and Wes particularly enjoy woodworking together, although at 2 years old, Wes mostly enjoys playing in the sawdust. Dr. Roof and his wife are expecting their second child July 2015.

Dr. Bryan Roof was great. I went in to have eyes check out as they were bothering me. He made sure that I understood what the diagnosis was and that I felt comfortable with the treatment I would be receiving. Very professional and friendly, along with his staff.
