Doctor Rabinowitz takes the time to listen to all your systems and clearly states all your options.
Dr. Rabinowitz is very personable and his office was super efficient and a very good experience overall. Plus the office processes its own lab tests so you could have your regular lab tests performed in no time. Results are received right away too.
Dr Rabinowitz is very attentive to each patient, but this also translates into long wait times.
Couldn't be happier. Very knowledgable and took time to understand my condition.
I had a strange and generally unpleasant experience with Dr. Rabinowitz. I booked a appointment with him for an annual check-up. I am generally healthy but I live abroad where quality of medical care is pretty low, and wanted to make sure everything is running smooth before going back. Dr. Rabinowitz apparently did not like that I don't plan on making multiple follow up appointments and told me in the first few moments of the appointment that I am (and I quote) "not worth investing in". Dr. Rabinowitz specialty is cardiology. He might be a good one - I don't know. But what this means for anyone who does not have heart problems is that he will deliberately look for some sort of abnormality in you heart (even if you are a young person who never thought about her/his heart other than in romantic way). Surprisingly to me, his annual check-up included an ECG but did not include, say, a urine test (which was done at all of my previous appointments). But what was worse: he told me - without providing any type of framework - that I have heart murmurs. This was the first time in my life and multiple annual exams anyone told me this. When I asked him what I should do about it, he shrugged and said that since I don't live here there is no way of telling if this is serious. This sent me into months of anxiety after which I scheduled a follow up appointment with a different doctor who did not hear any murmur or see any abnormality on ultrasound. Worth noting that Dr. Rabinowitz asked a lot of personal questions which, in my opinion, exceeded what one might need to know about the patient. He also talked a lot about himself. On a positive side, he did make a point of calling me after the appointment to communicate the results of the blood test and made it before I departed. Generally, I would not want to be seen by Dr. Rabinowitz again. My experience was not pleasant. PS: Do not tell him you drink any type of alcohol if you don't want to be yelled at.
I thought the visit was a success. I was a bit worried since people left negative feedback about the wait time, but I didn't have to wait a single minute. I asked Dr. Rabinowitz about this, and basically it's just random/fluky as far as when there are wait times. Everything else was positive.
He was very polite and kind. He made sure I was comfortable and wanted to get to know who I was as a person as well as a patient. I only wish the wait was not so long and that he was a little more up to date on certain medications.
One of the worst doctors I have gone to. He was rude and made me feel extremely uncomfortable with voicing what was wrong.
I ended up waiting about 45-60 minutes total during the entire appointment (before and in between steps). I'm not sure how this compares with other doctors. Although, I could have just gotten unlucky because the patient before me ran long. However, after the wait, the exam itself seemed personal and thorough.
TL;DR - Dr Rabinowitz was awesome, support staff was terrible. I originally booked my appointment for 9 am and told work I'd be at a doctor's appointment. Around 8 am that morning, I get an email saying my appointment has been changed to 3 pm instead without a phonecall confirming it was ok; fortunately I could work from home but still, it felt extremely inconsiderate. When I arrive at the doctor's office at 3 pm, I end up having to wait for close to 2 hrs. When it is time, I am told they were going to draw blood and completely neglected to tell me to fast beforehand. Fortunately I skipped but once again, extremely disorganized. In addition, I mention to the assistant that I was there only to get my medication prescribed and whether the blood test was covered under my insurance; she says it is and that it's completely routine. Unfortunately, they did an entire suite of tests (none of which they consulted me on), of which only one was covered by my insurance; the rest came out of copay.
He stayed in the room with me and explained everything to me. He was very thorough! They do an EKG and blood work on every single patient which was different than any other doctor I've been to, but I enjoyed the experience.
Dr. Rabinowitz made me feel uncomfortable and stupid for visiting him. I was worried about my recurring nausea and he told me I was "making no sense" and basically hurried me out of the office as if I was wasting his time. Needless to say I will never revisit his office again.
Very pleasing experience from start to finish. check-in was painless, well organized and prompt. The preliminary tests were conducted very professionally (blood draw, ECG, weight / height etc). Dr Rabinowitz was exceptional, very good listener, easy manner to gain information and background (this was my first visit to him). His examination was very thorough. Test results were available within minutes. His feedback was clear, simply made and very understandable.
Dr Rabinowitz is WELL experienced. Burton was inquisitive about the details on past history when I mentioned it. From a major to a minor issue, he treated it like it could be solved and planned accordingly with non-invasive tests without pills or prescription. He knows what questions to ask, that's what a ton of experience does for him and in turn for us.
Was very helpful!
It was great that he could see me on such short notice. No complaints.
He and those in the office are knowledgable, professional, thorough and friendly. I had results before I left the office! I've never had a more thorough visit in my life. After one check up I feel as though they know me better than a doctor who saw me for 13 years! I've already been back and will continue to return.
Dr. Rabinowitz was extremely thorough, was very pleasant to talk to and explain everything that I had questions or concerns with.Over all great experience
