Our appt was at noon and my husband’s at 1220pm. We arrived at 1145 - we had pre checked in online. We were greeted and given a short 2 page sheet to fill out. I was told our insurance was accepted but not for contact lense exam. I contacted my insurance before arriving and had a screenshot of it with me on my iPad. Even though we had coverage for the exam and credit towards contacts or glasses…… we still paid an additional cost per person for the ‘eye health’ exam. When I questioned total cost I was told it was more than our insurance. In past years we have never been charged that much. We did not order our glasses/contacts at this time. At this office, the recommended contacts for 3 months would have cost my entire years allowance. I’m sure having a nice office downtown FW is costly rent. But, I wish I had checked more carefully on their charges before choosing this office for our eye exams. Staff was friendly enough as well as doctor; but, wait was too long and prices too high.
