Hi! My name is Camay, and I am so happy you are prioritizing your mental health. I aim to work with you to achieve optimum health so you may live your best life. I graduated from Pacific Lutheran University with my Bachelor of Science in Nursing and have been an RN since 2003. I started my career in Adult Med/Surg, worked in home health, and finally found employment that fuels my passion for mental health in 2014. I have mental and behavioral health RN experience in adult/geriatric inpatient hospitalization and correctional mental health. I earned my Master’s in Nursing from Gonzaga University with a focus in psychiatry and am board certified. I began my NP role in Arizona working with seriously mentally ill clientele, then moved to California to continue my career as a PMHNP. I specialize in medication management and use a holistic approach that encompasses the whole person—mind, body, and spirit. I understand we are all individuals with our own beliefs and lifestyles. I embrace uniqueness and want to help all achieve their personal mental health goals. I am empathic and use motivational techniques to restore hope and empowerment in my clients. I’ve been through a couple of providers that I felt was not engaged and treated me as a push through. I highly recommend Camay. She was a great listener and really worked to help to understand my diagnosis. She’s extremely knowledgeable and I do not see myself working with another provider.
