I breast feed my children and have been through several doctors. She has been by far the most understanding in this respect as doctors are not educated about breast feeding at school. She is also really good at answering your email or phone enquiries.

Carol Brown-Altuna, RN, is a pediatric nurse practitioner treating patients in New York City and the surrounding communities. Her primary goal is to ensure that each of her patients receives the highest standard of medical care. Ms. Brown-Altuna is a member of professional organizations including the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners, the National Association of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners, and the Nurse Practitioners of New York.
For her undergraduate education, Ms. Brown-Altuna attended Russell Sage College and the Colombia University School of Nursing, completing a liberal arts degree and a bachelor of science. She continued her medical education through the Colombia Presbyterian Medical Center Pediatric Nurse Practitioner Certification Program. Ms. Brown-Altuna pursued her master’s degree through the Colombia University School of Nursing.
Patients visiting Ms. Brown-Altuna can receive a full range of medical services. She provides general pediatric consultations, as well as treatment for specific illnesses and issues. In addition to her practice, Ms. Brown-Altuna has prepared publications on subjects including early childcare and primary healthcare of the young.
In order for us to continue providing prompt and efficient service to our patients, we ask that you give us at least 24 hours notice if you are unable to keep your appointment. The following fees will be applied for missed appointments or late cancellations:
Missed appointments (no-show) - $50.00
Late cancellations (less than 24 hours) - $ 25.00
