I am a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner with over 20 years of experience in the field of Psychiatry. I work with adults from ages 18 and older. I offer psychotherapy, medication management, EMDR and Hypnosis.
I strive to create a supportive, collaborative environment where your difficulties can be explored and understood. I believe that past experiences and traumas can interfere with present functioning and well-being, especially in areas of relationships, self-esteem and employment.
By working through these, we can enable you to feel better and move past barriers that have held you back and have affected your quality of life. I have worked successfully with people of all different backgrounds in all areas of Psychiatry.
My primary approach is psychodynamic but I will use other approaches depending on your needs and situation.
In addition to Board Certification as a Psychiatric and Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, I am a certified in EMDR, a specialized treatment for trauma and I am also a licensed Hypnotist.
