Dr. Carol Senkler is a board certified pediatrician who has been practicing pediatrics in Manhattan since completing a Pediatric residency at Columbia University’s Children’s hospital of New York in the spring of 2009. She aims to provide a medical home for children and their families to access personalized, compassionate, knowledgeable medical care. Her love of athletics has translated into a special interest in pediatric sports medicine, keeping children active and healthy in mind and body through sports and nutrition. She also has special interests in newborn medicine, and developmental pediatrics.
Dr. Senkler obtained her Bachelor of Science in Neurobiology and Physiology at the University of Maryland Honors Program in College Park, MD. She earned both an athletic and academic scholarship to attend the University while competing as a member of the Maryland Terrapin Field Hockey team that achieved great success as the 1999 National Champions, and four time ACC champions. She obtained her medical degree from Vanderbilt University’s School of Medicine in Nashville, TN.
She now holds faculty positions Roosevelt Hospital/Mount Sinai West, Mount Sinai Medical Center and Cornell.
