Dr. Carrie Bonds is a highly accomplished optometrist from Birmingham, Alabama, and the eldest of three children. She graduated from Homewood High School in 2000, excelling academically at the University of Alabama, where she was awarded Cum Laude status in 2004. After completing her Doctorate of Optometry at UAB School of Optometry in 2009, Dr. Carrie gained invaluable experience through internships in primary care, pediatrics, ocular disease, and low vision - as well as externships at Vision America and the Birmingham VA hospital.
Following graduation, Dr. Carrie has spent years serving patient in Tuscaloosa and surrounding communities. Most recently spending 10 years serving patients inside of her practice in LensCrafters. Dr. Carrie used her expertise to promote eye health throughout the region, diagnosing conditions such as glaucoma and macular degeneration while providing comprehensive eye exams and treatments to improve vision-related matters.
Since beginning to practice in 2009, she has enjoyed caring for patients of all ages, ranging from babies to seniors. Dr. Carrie particularly enjoys fitting contact lenses and helping her patients improve their vision to its best potential. In her free time, she loves spending quality time with her husband and two daughters and keeping active with hobbies such as camping, playing the piano, and running.
