Carroll D. Cooper, MD is a native of Huntsville, Al. He earned a B.S. in Chemistry from Morehouse College where he was an NASA scholar. He subsequently earned his M.D. degree from University of Alabama School of Medicine. He completed his residency in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation from the Medical College of Wisconsin where he served as Chief Resident. He then went on to complete a fellowship in Interventional Spine & Sports Medicine from the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York City, the premiere orthopedic hospital in the world. During this time, he also served as a team doctor for St. Peter’s College in NJ. Dr. Cooper is a Board Certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation by the ABPMR. In addition, he has a board certification in Independent Medical Evaluations by the ABIME. He is also a member of the North American Spine Society, the International Spine Intervention Society, and The American Association of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation. His hobbies include reading, traveling, and working out.
