Dr. Casey Johnston was born and raised in northern Florida. He graduated magna cum laude from Florida State University and then went on to graduate summa cum laude from The University of Houston College of Optometry. Dr. Johnston is a licensed Texas therapeutic optometrist and optometric glaucoma specialist. He has extensive training in diagnosis and management of various ocular diseases including: diabetes, glaucoma, macular degeneration, uveitis and corneal diseases. He has experience co-managing many ocular surgeries including: cataract, retinal detachment/tear repair, LASIK/PRK, blepharoplasty, ptosis repair, pterygium excision and refractive intraocular lens exchange.
Dr. Johnston has received awards from The University of Houston College of Optometry for clinical excellence in patient care, contact lenses, and optics. He enjoys seeing patients from a variety of backgrounds and is happy to see patients of all ages including infants.
In his free time, Dr. Johnston enjoys exercising, eating good food and spending quality time with his girlfriend (also an optometrist) and their 4 dogs. He sees patients primarily at the Sugar Land Eye Trends location.
