Everyone from the receptionist to the doctor was SO friendly and put me at ease right away (I was honestly nervous, having not been to a doctor in years). Dr. Ehrig was great at listening and explaining the next steps. I waited for maybe 2 or 3 minutes before being brought from the waiting room to an exam room. Very pleasant, smooth office visit!

Philosophy of care
My core philosophy is to provide individualized care. The focus is on patients' conditions as well as the effects of illness on their lives and the lives of their families. The goal is to make prevention, wellness and patient education priorities. Informing patients about their health care and encouraging them to participate in decisions are central to the care I provide. Providing care based on research and evidence-based practices is also vital in primary care.
Why I entered medicine
The question here is really not "why I entered medicine" - it seems so long ago! The question is "why I have I stayed in medicine." The answer is: because it is the most interesting, exciting, and rewarding profession. The care, education, and positive energy I give is nothing in comparison to that which I receive daily. That's all there is to it. For me being a nurse practitioner and working in family medicine is the best gift I give to myself.
