Cecilia Helwig, MD joined the ENT Faculty as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Surgery, specializing in Pediatric Otolaryngology.
Dr. Helwig received medical school and residency training in Otolaryngology at the University of Chile. She completed her fellowship in Pediatric Otolaryngology at Rady Children’s Hospital in San Diego. Before coming to Yale, Dr. Helwig served as the Director of the Pediatric Cochlear Implant Program at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville, Pennsylvania from 2007-2017. She is a member of the American Academy of Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery and the American Academy of Pediatric Otolaryngology, where she currently chairs the society’s Young Members Committee.
Fluent in English and Spanish, Dr. Helwig is passionate about the prevention of hearing loss and rehabilitation. She is committed to improving the health of her patients by following the latest scientific advances and utilizing the most cutting-edge technologies available. In her free time, Dr. Helwig likes to run and go for bicycle rides with her two young children and her husband, Greg.

The visit itself was not bad, Dr. Helwig checked my son up and made a procedure to see his throat. But later then we have received 2 bills for a huge amount of money,one of it from a hospital we never been to. And nobody told me In advance how much all the procedures going to cost.
