My Name is Dr. Cecilia Takor. I am a dedicated, board-certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner with over 15 years of experience in the nursing field. Driven by my passion of caring for others, I began my nursing journey by graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from Mary Mount University. Furthering my expertise, I earned a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) degree from Walden University.
Throughout my career, I have worked in various healthcare settings, including hospitals, where I provided care to acute, medical, and mental health patients. This diverse experience laid a strong foundation for my transition into mental health care, where I have worked in several community mental health clinics. Here, I continue to provide compassionate care to individuals with a range of mental health illnesses and substance use disorders. I provide care in different platforms at the convenience of the patient, while respecting their privacy and autonomy.
In my current role, I provide comprehensive mental health care across the lifespan, offering both therapy and psychotropic medication management to my patients. My commitment to improving the lives of those living with mental health problems is evident in my empathetic and patient-centered approach to care. As a PMHNP, I pledge to be a beacon of hope and support for individuals with mental health problems and strive to make a positive impact in the mental health community.

This doctor was very unprepared for this session, she arrived 10 min late to the session and then proceeded to get in the car about halfway through saying that she needed to be at court.
The advice and therapy I received was very cookie cutter even after describing my issues more in-depth. I was answering questions regarding my job and then was proceeded to be corrected.
Towards the end of the session, the screen went dark as she was parked somewhere and due to the walking the connection was very bad.
Overall, the session felt very unprofessional and I felt was unhelpful for my specific concerns. I think there was a big mismatch for me personally because of where I am at as a new college grad and the advice I was receiving was from the perspective of someone more established in life.

Dr. Takor was a very patient listener and compassionate. Paperwork is a priority with this group---no paperwork no treatments thats just what has to be done. Would like to see that an admin is hired to take questions and calls instead of consuminng the dr's time. Would rather that time be spent with individuals in need. overall a 5/5 experience.
