My daughter was the patient and she told me that Dr. Aschtgen was super nice and easy to talk to. She said he was "cool". He also had words of wisdom for her, she's going to university in Seattle and this is her first time living away from home. I'm really glad we found such a great ND to have available for her to see if she needs medical help.

He received his Doctorate of Naturopathic Medicine from Bastyr University in Seattle, Washington and subsequently completed a two-year, hospital-based naturopathic medical residency at Cancer Treatment Centers of America (CTCA), near Chicago, Illinois.
Focused on clinical medicine, Dr. Aschtgen provides expert naturopathic care for individuals with cancer, a family history of cancer or an interest in cancer prevention. He utilizes nutrition and lifestyle counseling, herbal medicines, vitamins and mineral therapies and more to support each patient’s optimal wellness before, during and after each stage of cancer treatment. Whether newly diagnosed, in active treatment or a long-term survivor, those facing the difficulties of cancer have a great resource in Dr. Aschtgen.
Dr. Aschtgen works closely with his patients to create customized, integrative and holistic treatment plans that take into consideration all aspects of their unique health and medical care. His patients receive safe and effective natural therapies specifically designed to improve overall health and wellbeing, decrease symptoms and aid in fighting disease.

He was patient and thorough and addressed outcomes of precious issues- also took time to evaluate and discuss new issues. He always listens to what you have to say; gives copy of report to me of all we discussed, why things were recommended, and when to follow-up. With my chemo-brain I found this very important for my healthcare.
