Chanelle Woods-Lomnick, MSN, CNM (Certified Nurse Midwife), is the only midwife in Lake County with hospital privileges. Chanelle received her Bachelors of Science in Nursing in 2003 from the Jewish Hospital College of Nursing affiliated with Washington University in St. Louis, MO. She received the Dean’s award for academic excellence in that same year. A member of the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing, in 2012, Chanelle received her Masters of Science in Nursing with a specialization in Midwifery from the University of Cincinnati. She has ten plus years of experience as a registered nurse with more than eight of those years involving caring for women and infants, as a maternity nurse. As a midwife, Chanelle can care for women with low- risk pregnancies. She specializes in natural low to no intervention births. Pharmacological and anesthetic pain management are also an option in labor for women who desire to do so.
