Ms. Charla Johnson has twenty-three years of experienced as a Physician Assistant with at least eight and a half years in Otolaryngology. She is an active member of the Society of Physician Assistants in Otorhinolaryngology/Head & Neck Surgery (SPAO-HNS) for eight years. She has worked in private clinics, HMO settings, and military medicine. She has worked as an Internal medicine PA, Urgent Care setting PA, and has spent the last eight years of her career as an ENT PA. She essentially managed patient care in clinic while the supervising physicians were in the Operating room.
She is educated in three fields, which she loves. They are: Medicine, Business Management, and Theology. She has a Bachelor’s Degree in Science as a Physician Assistant through the program in Des Moines, IA from Des Moines University formerly known as University of Osteopathic Medicine and Health Sciences. She obtained her Master’s in Healthcare Management from Saint Leo, FL. Her second passion in life is Theology/Religion which she has obtained a Master’s in Theology from Lynchburg, VA.
She learned her excellent management skills and has been able to manage clinics early in her career through the military as a Corporal in the US Army. She was in responsible for the Physical Therapy Clinic at Munson Army Hospital in Fort Leavenworth, KS. She was accountable for a $250,000 fiscal year budget and over a million dollars of medical equipment.
She presently supervises and manages Sunday school department trainings and programs for over 30 churches. That includes setting budgets, planning programs, and overseeing the day to day aspects of a volunteer force. Once a year she assist and has helped to develop the logistics for teaching twenty-five to thirty thousand people in the largest Sunday school in the world each year in November.
She is presently able to practice in both Georgia and Ohio State. She is a license Physician Assistant in both states. She has recently joined our Atlanta ENT practice with Ramie Tritt MD, Thomas Walker MD, and Faria Khan MD.
