Dr. Charles Hu is a podiatric foot and ankle surgeon devoted to high quality medical and surgical patient-centered care. By providing his patients with a foundation of knowledge necessary to come to a well-informed decision, he is determined to keep them involved at every step of the medical decision-making process.
Originally from New Jersey, Dr. Hu received his B.S. in Neuroscience in the land of the Bruins, University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). He subsequently worked in the medical field for several years before receiving his medical degree at the New York College of Podiatric Medicine and completing a surgical residency at Medstar Georgetown University Hospital and Washington Hospital Center. His training involved working with renowned physicians from the Georgetown Plastics Surgery Department as well as the Rubin Institute of Advanced Orthopaedics, among others in the DMV area. Dr. Hu specializes in complex limb salvage, wound care, sports medicine, reconstructive/elective foot and ankle surgeries, and conservative as well as surgical management for those pathologies.
In his free time, he enjoys rock climbing/bouldering, basketball, tennis, learning new musical instruments, and cooking/trying new restaurants.
Dr. Hu Will be serving patients at the Takoma Park/Silver Spring, Oxon Hill, Fort Washington, and VHC Arlington.
