Many people think of nutrition as following the food rules. My approach for diets is to figure out what cell systems are struggling, and give them the nutrients they need to return to useful activity. Special foods, extra vitamins, essential fats or certain amino acids are usually the remedy. Nutrition is not about the food police; enjoy some cookies.
Good Nutrition and great eating aren't supposed to be a major hassle. Cavemen did just fine, without stoves, refrigerators, and supermarkets. What do you, the 21st century hunter and gatherer, need to know, to forage for lunch at Trader Joe's, and stalk the totally best supper at the local food Shoppe?

I was impressed with the simple dietary instructions Smigelski gave me as an alternative to cholesterol medication. Within 3 months I had reduced my cholesterol more than my doctor had ever seen through diet alone.
