Jeffery C. Wang is a licensed acupuncturist and practitioner of Oriental medicine in Pennsylvania with a professional background in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), Western medicine, and biomedical science. From 1994 to 1999, he studied both Traditional Chinese Medicine and Western Medicine at Hunan University of Chinese Medicine. He then completed training in the Department of Acupuncture and Tuina at The First Hospital of Hunan University of Chinese Medicine, including residency at the hospital's Cosmetic Surgery Center. In June 1999, he received his Medical Doctoral degree. He continued his education by completing a PhD program at Hunan Medical University in 2005. In January 2006, he moved to the United States and completed five years of postdoctoral training in human gene therapy at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. He has published several top peer-reviewed papers in journals such as Blood and the Journal of Clinical Investigation. With over ten years of experience in Traditional Chinese Medicine and biomedical research, Dr. Wang has developed his own unique perspective on life and life sciences. He specializes in treating chronic back pain, leg pain, headaches, depression, insomnia, frozen shoulder, and other conditions (please see the list of conditions commonly treated by our services). He also has more than a decade of experience in Chinese Tuina and Taichi. Tuina, a therapeutic form of acupressure, is a vital part of Traditional Chinese Medicine that incorporates various hand techniques along with Qigong and Daoyin skills. It is highly effective in treating many chronic pain and physical disorders. Dr. Wang is also skilled in Chen-style Taichi, which can improve patients' balance, organ function, and mental well-being. Additionally, he teaches patients simple, practical self-exercise techniques that can significantly reduce healthcare costs. He has a strong interest in nature therapy and Eastern culture, especially Eastern Buddhism and Taoism.
