Dr. Cheryl "Shaindy" Aber brings to our dermatology practice a comprehensive medical background and an appreciation of how connected our skin, hair and nails are with our overall health and lifestyle. She brings this integrated philosophy to her practice of pediatric, medical, cosmetic and surgical dermatology. Her compassion and warmth, combined with her medical and surgical skill, make her a perfect addition to our practice. Dr. Aber received her Bachelor of Science in the field of Nutritional Sciences from Cornell University. She went on to receive her medical degree from the prestigious Mount Sinai School of Medicine in NYC, graduating with numerous academic awards and high honors. She subsequently completed a full pediatric residency at the University of Miami/ Jackson Memorial Hospital and became board certified in Pediatrics. As a practicing pediatrician, Dr. Aber was intrigued by the changing skin manifestations unique to each developmental stage and health condition. She pursued and completed a full residency in Dermatology & Cutaneous Surgery at the University of Miami / Jackson Memorial Hospital. In addition, she received specialized training at the University of Miami, and completed a clinical research fellowship in Pediatric Dermatology. Dr. Aber had the privilege of training under one of the world's leading hair experts, Dr. Antonella Tosti, providing cutting edge diagnostic and treatment options for hair loss and hair disorders. Dr. Aber's extensive experience has made her a well-respected expert in her field. She has authored several chapters and papers in the field of pediatric and medical dermatology, and has been an active speaker both nationally and abroad. Additionally, she is involved in numerous multi-center research trials.

Waited for over 2 HOURS then the doc spent maybe 4 minutes with me and tried to leave before I was even done explaining my concerns. Her staff were ANGELS though. She is clearly a hard woman to work for and barks orders and doesn’t respect schedules. I feel for them! Not an environment I would want to work in. That said, she identified the problem and I think has prescribed me the right solution so I will likely see her again (it’s hard to get in with a dermatologist!). But will bring a book.

The doctor was really excellent. She was super nice and answered my questions, very knowledgeable and had excellent bedside manners. However, her staff not so much. When I arrived at the office they had me fill out all the paperwork all over again even though I confirmed with Zoc doc that all the paperwork was correctly sent. I spent time filling out all of my biographical information and insurance Information through the app and then sent it over. The office pretended like they didn't have any of that information. Additionally, they canceled and rescheduled my appointment without an explanation.

Dr Aber maybe spent a total of three minutes with me, my appointment with her felt extremely rushed. I had an allergic reaction to the medication that Dr. Aber prescribed to me for mild acne. I called her office five times (not exaggerating, actually five times) and every time, I spoke to the office manager who said that Dr. Aber would get back to me but I never got any kind of follow up. I had to go to another doctor for a new examination and a different prescription. I absolutely would not recommend her to anyone!

She was okay, nice actually, although She kept trying to sell my Wife and i things we didnt want or need, but her Staff and overall operation is very unprofessional. It took me 2 days to get the prescription forwarded electronically to wallgreens! Whats the point in the electronic script if its not going to be fast and done? She might as weal have hand written it out for me, at least i couple have started to treat this nasty rash in a timely manner!! Than when i called (well, kept calling) her office, the woman there was rude and unprofessional. She kept telling me She was understaffed that day, yesterday they seemed lazy, sluggish, and sleepy when i was at the office. Typical, unprofessional, Miami service i guess.

Very kind, personable, patient and knowledgeable. She actually took time to listen, understand and address all of my dermatology concerns and questions. In addition, she actually reviewed my family history to understand how that history could be related to my concern. I've been in Miami 6years now and haven't found a doctor that would take the valuable time she did (even though she had another appt' waiting) to make me comfortable with her diagnosis and thoughts regarding my condition. It was an absolute positive visit and I will definitely go back. In addition, I will not hesitate to refer others to see her.

I love the office and the doctors, but every time I go I have to set a 3 hour block of time, for a simple 40 minute procedure (including prep and cleanup time). The waiting is horrible.
