Cheryl L. Lonergan, M.D. graduated with honors from Cornell University and received her medical degree from the University of Virginia. While in medical school, she received numerous awards for both academics and patient care and was elected to the medical honor society, Alpha Omega Alpha. Dr. Lonergan completed both her Dermatology residency and Dermatopathology fellowship at the University of Virginia Health System in Charlottesville, VA where she is currently Clinical Assistant Professor of Dermatology. Dr Lonergan is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology, Medical Dermatology Society, Women’s Dermatologic Society and the American Society of Dermatopathology, and she is board certified in Dermatology and Dermatopathology. She has authored a number of articles and textbook chapters and currently serves as a reviewer for a scholarly journal in the field of Otolaryngology. Dr. Lonergan’s practice focuses on medical and surgical dermatology (adult and pediatric) as well as dermatopathology.
