Dr. C.R. Nath is a practicing endocrinologist with over 20 years of medical experience and offices in both Westchester County and Dutchess County, NY. Approximately 9 years ago, Dr. C. Nath took up the post of Medical Director at Phelps Memorial Hospital. In assembling a team of physicians, Dr.Nath headed the Diabetes and Metabolism Center at Phelps Memorial. Under his leadership, the center has been caring for thousands of diabetic patients as well as tending to their diabetic complications. He is also a senior attending physician at the hospital and teaches at New York Medical College. Dr. Nath is an esteemed member of the founding faculty of the Family Medicine Residency Program at New York Medical College. Additionally, Dr. Nath is an associate professor at the International University of Health Sciences- St. Kitts.
Dr. C. Nath completed his residency in Internal Medicine at Memorial University, Newfoundland, Canada. He finished his Fellowship in Endocrinology and Metabolism at Dalhousie University, Halifax, Canada. Dr. Nath is Board Certified in Internal Medicine, Endocrinology and Metabolism. He is a Fellow of the American College of Physicians, the American College of Endocrinology and The Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada.
Dr. Nath has worked as a clinical scholar at the world renowned Rockefeller University- New York, New York under the leadership of Dr. Jan Brewslow, MD. He also served as a research associate and directed the Lipid Clinic at the Rockefeller University Hospital. His research interests include Diabetes, Lipids and Hypertension. In addition to conducting clinical trials, Dr.Nath has presented research papers both at the regional and national level and is also published in several peer reviewed journals.
