More about Christian Curtis, LAc
Christian Curtis graduated from Bastyr University’s Acupuncture program in 2013. He specializes in stress management and musculoskeletal disorders as well as other common disorders such as the common cold, digestive distress, sleep problems, etc. His medical education included extensive academic study and clinical training in both Eastern and Western medical science, with emphasis on Traditional Chinese Medicine. Christian studied acupuncture in Shanghai, China where he treated 100 patients per week as a clinical intern in three Shanghai hospitals.
Christian is also a massage therapist who incorporates Western and Eastern massage techniques including Swedish, Deep Tissue, Tuina, Hot Stone, Acupressure, Sports, and others. He graduated from Bellevue Massage School where he now serves as a clinical supervisor and instructor.
In addition, Christian serves as an acupuncturist with Acupuncturists Without Borders (AWB), which is a global non-profit medical organization that provides free acupuncture for victims, community members, first responders, and other rescue and relief workers involved in disasters such as extreme weather, flooding, and earthquakes. He volunteers regularly in Wallingford at AWB Seattle Acupuncture for Veterans, which is a weekly free community acupuncture clinic for veterans, active military, and their families.
He also volunteers as a lead acupuncturist for The Seattle King County Clinic (SKCC), a yearly four-day free clinic that brings together healthcare organizations, civic agencies, non-profits, private business, and volunteers to produce a giant tree health clinic at Seattle Center providing free dental, vision and medical care to anyone in the region who struggles to access and/or afford healthcare.
