Christy Weller, PsyD is an exceptional, well trained and highly skilled therapist that I would most definitely recommend. I saw her for family therapy amongst other things. From the onset, I immediately felt comfortable opening up and talking with her. She really puts you at ease and makes you feel safe right off the bat. Christy is compassionate and empathic and really treats you with integrity and with the utmost respect. She got me through some really tough times of severe depression and anxiety and significantly helped me through some very complex familial relationships. Working with Christy was a transformative experience for me and I feel honored to have had her as a therapist. I would give her ten stars!

I am a licensed psychologist providing individual and couples counseling. I am passionate about helping adults, college students, and couples achieve greater peace and satisfaction in their lives and in their relationships. I help people with a variety of issues, including anxiety, depression, relationship problems and trauma.
My approach to therapy is individualized based on the needs of each unique client. I provide insight-oriented therapy with the belief that you, the client, are the expert on your life and that my role is to provide guidance and input on your journey. While my approach is influenced by psychodynamic theory, I also draw from attachment theory and new concepts originating from neurobiological research that confirm our need for relatedness and safety. My extensive education and training in these various approaches allows me to put the specific needs and issues of the individual client first rather than fitting the client into a specific framework.
I earned my Bachelors in Psychology from the University of Colorado at Boulder, my Masters in Clinical Psychology from the University of Denver, and my Doctor of Psychology (Psy.D.) from the University of Denver. I have experience providing individual and couples counseling at hospitals, college counseling centers, a community mental health center, and in private practice.

Christy was recommended to me by a friend so I made an appointment with her. I’ve been to other therapist in the past, but never found the right fit with others until I met Christy. She made me feel at ease from the moment I walked in to her office. She listened and helped guide with gentle suggestions on how to manage the challenges that I struggle with on a daily basis. I would highly recommended Christy Weller to anyone in need of a therapist!

Dr. Weller was just the professional that I needed to see in my time of crisis. After attempting to set an appointment with other therapists without success, scheduling an online appointment with Christy was fast and easy. Christy quickly established rapport and created a soothing and nonjudgmental atmosphere. Dr. Weller's intelligence, listening skills and feedback were phenomenal. What I thought was going to be a one or two visit necessity, has turned into a dynamic professional relationship. I cannot thank her enough!
