I am a certified family nurse practitioner with more than a decade of nursing experience in various areas including pediatrics at Brenner Children’s Hospital, endoscopy at the VA Medical Center, and medical-surgical, telemetry, and intensive care at Forsyth and Iredell Hospital. My first years working as a new graduate nurse practitioner include a background in public health. I believe in taking time to get to know my patients, build a trusting relationship, as well as encouraging patients to be fully involved in the decision-making regarding their care. I am glad to now be working in the field of allergy and asthma as the patients need their provider to understand them and their environment, along with their clinical needs.
When not working, I enjoy spending time with my husband Brandon, four children, and four fur babies. I enjoy traveling and anything outdoors from hiking, camping, and running.

I spoke to them multiple times before appointment. No one ever mentioned I needed to stop allergy meds prior to testing. I drove 30+ minutes to office. I went through new patient stuff. THEN I was told that testing probably wouldn't work because I was taking meds as usual. Then I had to drive 30+ minutes home. 2+ hours wasted.
I booked an appointment with a different provider and they sent me multiple reminders saying to stop allergy meds days before appointment, so I know not telling patient to stop meds isn't reasonable.
