Christina joined the Personal Physician Care team of providers in August 2016. She currently holds a Masters of Science in Nursing from Florida Atlantic University as an Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner. Ms. Pengelley specializes in geriatrics, where her focus is health promotion and illness prevention in the care of older adults. With a nursing background spanning nearly 10 years, she has gained exceptional clinical knowledge and experience managing both acute and chronic illnesses of adults.
Currently, she heads our Chronic Care Management (CCM) Program for Medicare patients. This service offers personalized, one-to-one management of chronic conditions over the phone and promotes continuity of care between patients and their providers. In this role, her scope of practice includes the assessment of health and well-being, chronic condition management (including, but not limited to, diabetes, hypertension, hyperlipidemia, etc.), medication monitoring, healthy lifestyle promotion, healthcare advice, and diagnostic interpretation. She is a very compassionate and willing to work closely with patients to determine the best plan of care for individuals and their families.
