Went to see Dr. Blaine for a breast reduction consultation and she made me feel comfortable. Was kind enough to do it complimentary and didn't charge me a copay. She was informative and took the time to take pictures and do the paperwork to have it ready if I do decide to move forward with her. For the most part she was informative on her own and answered the extra questions I had. As long as my insurance can cover the procedure I plan to go with her. Also although I waited a little over an hour, it was a snow day right before the blizzard so I'm assuming they were just unusually busy that morning which is acceptable and she was worth the wait.

Dr. Christine Blaine, a native New Yorker, is a plastic surgeon with offices in both Huntington and Staten Island. She began her medical career by earning a bachelor’s degree in Psychobiology from Binghamton University while working as an Emergency Medical Technician and instructor. It was at this juncture she developed an appreciation for the psychological and emotional facets of patient care. Based on this she believes in treating not only the body but the individual as a whole.
Dr. Blaine has participated in research, most recently concerning a female’s decision making related to breast reconstruction after breast cancer. She is a published author in the Annals of Plastic Surgery and has presented at national meetings including the Northeast Society of Plastic Surgeons.
Of foremost concern for Dr. Blaine is that both her male and female patients feel comfortable with the treatment plan and their entire experience. Her early training in psychobiology has allowed her to gain keen insight into how best to meet their individual needs. She is sensitive to the idea that each patient’s needs, desires and expectations are unique.
