We have always loved Dr. Clemens - he is very knowledgeable, never rushed, and has a wonderful bedside manner with adults and children. The only problem was that his prior office was a hellscape filled with staff who hated everyone, which you got to enjoy during 1.5 hour waits. His new office is clean, beautiful, and so far seems to rarely have a wait. Very happy!

Dr. Clemens was wonderful, he took his time to listen to our concerns and explained everything really well and was great with my boys and we are very happy to have him as a doctor.

Christopher Clemens, MD, is the Director of Ambulatory Pediatrics at Mount Sinai Queens where he oversees the delivery of personalized care to infants, children, teens, and young adults by a team of providers dedicated to helping patients live healthier lives. He sees patients at the Mount Sinai Doctors, located in the Ambulatory Pavilion adjacent to Mount Sinai Queens, and at Family Health Associates in Astoria. With a holistic, patient-centered approach, he partners with patients and their families to create treatment and management plans that support and foster patient well-being. Dr. Clemens is an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. He maintains leadership roles in developing curricula for medical students, improving quality of communications between physicians and patients, and optimizing implementation of electronic medical records (EMR), using Epic, the Mount Sinai EMR system since 2001. After beginning his practice in New York City in 1997, Dr. Clemens joined Family Health Associates in 2010 and has shown a deep commitment to practicing culturally sensitive pediatric and adolescent medicine in the socioeconomically and culturally diverse communities of Queens and surrounding boroughs. He has cared for children in underserved neighborhoods in East and West Baltimore, and a Navajo reservation in Arizona; his experience includes inpatient, outpatient and emergency room settings. Dr. Clemens enjoys teaching medical students and demonstrating, by example, compassion for all families and a genuine interest in their stories. His curiosity about music and cultures from around the world is often a bridge to fully understand and value the perspectives of his patients, thus helping him to better care for them as a physician.
