Dr. Fincke obtained his undergraduate and medical degree from The George Washington University in Washington DC. He completed a Gastroenterology fellowship at BAMC (SAMMC) and later served as a faculty gastroenterologist for the San Antonio Uniformed Health Services Gastroenterology Fellowship program, where he was responsible for the education and training of numerous GI physicians. Upon the completion of his 11 years of military service in the United States Army, Dr. Fincke began private practice in San Antonio in 2007.
Dr. Fincke’s interests include general gastroenterology and hepatology, as well as therapeutic endoscopy, including ERCP and Endoscopic Ultrasound (EUS). In addition, he has expertise in celiac plexus block, endoluminal stenting, complex biliary and pancreatic endoscopy and HALO™ radiofrequency ablation of Barrett’s Esophagus. Dr. Fincke is active in several charitable organizations in the San Antonio community and when not practicing medicine, he enjoys attending and coaching his children’s various sporting events.

Awesome. So glad I switched doctors. He got me scheduled right away for all procedures and sent in new perscriptions. He also took into account the meds I would be taking since we are trying to get pregnant. Not only did he get me the meds I need now to deal with the issues but is trying to treat the reason why by getting me in to see another specialist so hopefully I wont have to stay on meds forever. My last doctor just threw meds at the problem and that was it. All the staff were nice and very efficient also.
