Christopher J. Kwolek is a Board-certified vascular surgeon with more than 30 years of surgical experience. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of California, Los Angeles before pursuing his medical degree at the University of California, San Francisco. Dr. Kwolek completed his internship in general surgery at the New England Deaconess Hospital, an affiliate of Harvard Medical School, before completing his residency there as well. He continued to hone his skills as a surgeon, serving as the hospital’s Chief Resident of General Surgery and as a clinical and research fellow in the divisions of Angioscopy and Vascular Surgery. Dr. Kwolek has since worked at hospitals across the country, including the Arizona Heart Institute, Chandler Medical Center at the University of Kentucky, Lexington VA Medical Center, Massachusetts General Hospital, and Newton-Wellesley Hospital. He has also served as the assistant and associate professor at University of Kentucky School of Medicine and Harvard Medical School, the latter of which is a position he still holds today. Dr. Kwolek has served on various committees at the medical institutions at which he has worked over the course of his career, and has been an active member in industry organizations. Additionally, Dr. Kwolek currently holds leadership positions, including the Aortic Intervention Consultant and National Principal Investigator for Leopard Trial for Endologix. He has also been a member of advisory boards for PQ Bypass, Vortex Medical, Bolton Medical, Cariomems, Boston Scientific Corporation, Guidant Corporation, Medtronic, Edward Lifesciences, and Leapfrog Group.
