Dr.Sarzen seems seems quite capable as a gastroenterologist.
Their office location was a little puzzling, as I wasn't aware he shared the same office space w my family practice doc, just different days--same office! I am handicapped and I don't think the staff was at all used to someone who has difficulty walking and talking. I do feel confident with Dr.Sarzen though.

Dr. Sarzen is very sharp but moves very quickly. I feel very good about his competence but I would advise other patients to write down everything you want to cover before your appointment, so that you don't forget anything.
After briefly explaining my most recent symptoms he asked a number of incisive questions, then began prescribing some diagnostics and treatment. I had to make a point of stopping him to give him additional information, which led him to prescribe additional diagnostics and treatment.
The staff seemed very friendly, competent and quick.

I maintain my expertise at the top of my field of Gastroenterology and Hepatology by having attended Vanderbilt, one the nation’s top Medical Schools, and scoring in the top 10% on my recent Gastroenterology and Hepatology American Board of Internal Medicine recertification. I have completed a research fellowship in Oxford University, England and have had my research published in prominent journals. I have performed clinical research in my field. I have served as Director of the Gastroenterology Division of the Internal Medicine Residency Program at Georgia Baptist Medical Center in Atlanta, and have served as Assistant Clinical Professor of Medicine at Emory University.
My goal is to give you the very best medical care and make you well again using the best of my abilities and using the most current and thorough care available. At the heart of my approach is that I promise to treat you with the same compassion, caring and concern with which that I would treat a friend or family member. I will use the highest moral and ethical standards in your care and will always recommend what I feel to be in your best medical interest. The doctor tries to make a diagnosis as fast as possible without asking enough questions. You will probably end up scheduled for an expensive and unnecessary procedure (this is common practice, I guess). The biggest issue is getting an itemized receipt for your visit or your procedure. Called 4 times in the last three weeks. Still have not received anything. I paid with FSA card and without an itemized receipt, the payment was declined. Now I need to resubmit everything if I ever get a receipt. U.S. Healthcare. Oh well.
