I went in for pain in my right heel and he was able to reveal why I’ve been receiving on and off pain in the big toe on my right foot. I have an ingrown nail. He removed it, gave me stretches to relieve pain in my heel and sneaker suggestions. I am overly pleased with how personable and warm he was with me. Great guy

Dr. Chudi Mgbako received his bachelor of science in information systems and minor in mathematics from Pace University in New York City. He then attended the New York College of Podiatric Medicine where he earned his doctorate of podiatric medicine degree. Dr. Mgbako then completed a three- year podiatric medical and surgery residency at Montefiore Medical Center in New York. Here is where Dr, Mgbako completed core rotations in foot and ankle surgery, orthopedics, pediatrics, geriatrics, infectious disease, and much more.
After completion of his residency training, Dr. Mgbako joined the Foot and Ankle Specialists of New Jersey. He is currently on staff at Overlook Hospital, Rahway Hospital, Rahway Hospital Wound Care Center, and Union Surgical Center. He is the chairman of the Podiatry Division of Rahway Hospital.
Dr. Mgbako holds certifications in diabetic limb salvage and wound care, foot and ankle arthroscopy and hyperbaric oxygen therapy. He is an associate member of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons, New Jersey Podiatric Medical Society, and the American Podiatric Medical Association.

He is able to quickly cut to the chase while still being thorough. He's particularly good at asking questions that don't seem to be connected to the issue - until he connects them for you, and you say "oh wow". This is the guy who will listen to you and work with you to resolve your issue. He's a keeper!

The doctor was available right on time, even though I had a late appointment and I always dread the roll-over lateness that ensues from that. Staff was all extremely engaging and professional, especially the assistant. The doctor did a great job explaining everything to me, giving me next steps, and a timeline. I appreciated his warm manner when I needed cortisone shots. So far, everything has really helped mitigate pain that's been bothering me for a while!
