Claire is our absolute favorite speech therapist! My son has received speech therapy for the last 7 years and she is one of the best we have encountered! She is extremely personable, warm, kind, professional, and a natural with kids. She is consistently well-prepared for my son’s sessions and always has engaging, meaningful lessons planned! She actively listens to my concerns regarding my son’s speech & language needs and makes certain to cover these areas during therapy. We are an ESA family in AZ and Claire is an approved vendor, which makes things so seamless for us! We are also able to do virtual sessions with her, which is very convenient for a large homeschooling family! Thank you Claire for all the ways you have helped my son! We truly appreciate you.

Authentically You Speech Therapy was founded by Claire Powers, an ASHA-Certified Speech Language Pathologist. Claire earned her Master’s in Communicative Disorders from Arizona State University and holds a Bachelor’s degree from Purdue University. She has been a practicing SLP since 2020 and is licensed to practice in both Oklahoma and Arizona. Claire has many passions in the speech pathology world, including Autism, bilingualism, developmental disorders, early intervention, and speech therapy for "late talkers." She is dedicated to providing speech therapy that moves beyond the compliance-based, medical model of therapy, prioritizing meaningful connections that foster inclusion, belonging, and improved quality of life for all children.
When Claire is not doing therapy, she enjoys spending time with her Australian Shepherd, Tucker, reading, exercising, and trying the newest restaurants in Oklahoma City.
