During my first visit I felt like Dr. Williams was engaged and sympathetic. I was mistaken. For my follow-up I went to the MLK office and was there for three hours before the office admitted that after a week my lab results still weren't available...3 HOURS...7 DAYS!
I don't know about his other offices but the Anacostia office is antiquated, infested and disorganized at best.
Dr. Williams met with me as I was supposed to receive a gyn exam and discuss my labs for proof of possible infection or immune disease (or worse - I've been sick for 2 months now). I told him my new symptoms to which he barely examined me, I never received my gyn exam and of course no labs. He put me on more antibiotics and sent me home with a diagnosis of strep, without taking a proper culture.
I explained my medical history... again (3 tumors in 3 years , a goiter, HBP, irregular heart beat and worsening fatigue, swollen lymph nodes and a family history of auto immune disease on both sides). He seemed off his game. I didn't appreciate having to restate my medical concerns because he and his staff didn't take better notes. I also perceived a sense of indifference with regard to my medical complaints. I guess I'm just another one of those ghetto hood patients complaining about nothing.
Very disappointed, I was referred to his office by a friend who sang his praises, the reviews from this site was all I needed to give the office a try. Dr. Williams, his office and staff really let me down after reading such great reviews. ...May go to another of his offices...Depending on if I ever get my lab results.
