I went to Dr. Chew for a sinus infection, I have been dealing with a few days. He was friendly and provided the Rx I needed to finally get some relieve from my headaches and congestion. His front office clerks were rude and pushy about payment. How can you be rude to a person who is ill? This is why I checked "Maybe" in the above question.

My brief experience with Dr. Chew was very pleasant. The office building itself is a little out of date, but don't let that discourage you. His bedside manner was fantastic and he provided a very honest and genuine appraisal of my situation, without the need for unnecessary "up sell" procedures. Hopefully I won't need to have another visit, but if I do I'll be happy to see Dr. Chew again. (Note to Dr: please change your blood pressure measurement procedure, wrist-based while standing in a waiting room doesn't produce reliable results.)

Dr. Chew was very attentive and informative. I did have a long wait time to be seen (over an hour), but I believe this was due to extenuating circumstances with another patient. Staff at the office were very kind and helpful at explaining pricing according to my insurance plan prior to my arrival. Would highly recommend Dr. Chew and happily return if I have any other ear complications.

My ears were clogged and Dr. Chew fixed me immediately. Very happy with the service. One thing I would like to see improved is the blood pressure procedure. They use a wrist cuff, which has been proven to be quite inaccurate and it was taken at the window while I was standing. Not appropriate.

Really poor waiting room experience. They take your blood pressure on a shared device in the middle of the lobby? What doctor's office does that? Poor office conditions in general at the Clay St. location - know what you're getting into. Dr. Chew is great, the office not so much.

He's great! He was on time and he was very honest and nice and seemed like he cared more about my ailment than making money. I wanted to get a procedure done but he insisted for me to take some meds first and see how I feel before jumping into anything which I liked. His staff is great too! I paid out of pocket $200 and it was worth it

This was a terrible doctor's office experience. I was the first or second appointment of the day, yet, Dr. Chew was an hour late and I nearly missed my day of work. Then they said my health insurance might not be accepted when I had called prior to coming in to insure that it was accepted. Finally, Dr. Chew was a very nice person but did not seem to give me thorough care to the point that I had to recommend two different tests that I thought would be effective. He ran the tests and told me the office would call back if they got positive results. They never called me back until I called their office to inquire and was told that, yes, the results were positive. A very frustrating experience overall.

It may seem like the office is full of old Chinese people. That's because it is. But rest assured, the doctor and his office speak english and, despite a wait in a rather sad room, all was addressed.

I wouldn't recommend this office. I woke up with severe tonsillitis and a fever, so I booked an appointment with Dr. Chew on ZocDoc. The facility in Chinatown is not very nice, with a crowded waiting room. I asked if he could take my temperature but he didn't have a thermometer in the office. What kind of ENT doesn't have a thermometer?? Then he didn't take a throat culture to ascertain whether the tonsillitis was being caused by virus or bacteria, but decided to inject me into the shoulder with antibiotics straight away. The injection was literally the most painful burning I've ever ever felt - and it wouldn't stop. I finally started to go into shock as everything went numb and tingly and I started to become nauseous and light headed. While it passed after 10-15 minutes, anything that could hurt that much should have been numbed up with some local anesthetic, which he also didn't have. While Dr. Chew is a nice person and compassionate, this isn't modern medicine and I wouldn't come back here or recommend it to others.

Dr. Clifford Chew had very little time between my booking an appointment and seeing me, but he arrived with my notes I left online in my hand, and he was able to talk about it. He took the time to explain everything to me very clearly and educated me as well as treating me. I really appreciated the time he spent explaining things to me, because the office was really busy.. He wrote down all the information I requested, and considered extra information I had to give him.I felt it was a very productive visit, and I left feeling that I finally understood my health problem and what to do about it.
