Dr. Hamilton has subspecialty training in hand and microvascular surgery. He received his RRC-accredited fellowship training in orthopaedic hand surgery at the University of New Mexico Health Sciences Center after completing his surgery residency there. He attended medical school at Oregon Health and Science University.
He has a special interest in sports injuries, facture management, upper extremity trauma, replantation, nerve repair, flap reconstruction, congenital differences, and arthritis of the hand. He recently co-presented Results After Carpal Tunnel Release Using a Limited Incision Technique with Direct Visualization in Portland, Oregon at the International College of Surgeons 73rd annual meeting with the American Academy of Neurological & Orthopaedic Surgeons. He is currently working on a book chapter on complex flexor tendon injury reconstruction.
Dr. Hamilton is originally from Portland, grew up on the soccer pitch – and played through college. He is an outdoor enthusiast and is actively raising two labs, Chloe and Luna.

I really liked him. He knew what the problem was immediately and addressed it. only suggestion... other MD's have given me a printout of the diagnosis and a set of instructions while rehabing in a splint would have been a nice touch,but not a big enough deal to downgrade my experience

Dr Hamilton and Jen Judelson, PA were awesome. Helped me understand my injury and engaged me in deciding the best treatment options. They introduced me to Kim Contreras, OTR/L who saw me right away to make sure I was in the proper splint.
The office staff were super friendly.

Very good listener, made good eye contact with me while i was detailing my symptoms; explained the procedures thoroughly, always asked if i was doing okay during the procedure. Was comfortable admitting that he wasn't sure of the diagnosis and didn't want to jump to conclusions before getting the lab results back.
