He is very down to earth and awesome. Everyone else in the office is very nice. There are certain days when they have a Chinese translator which is an extra plus!

More about Dr. Craig Aronchick, MD

After practicing gastroenterology for 3 decades at the Pennsylvania Hospital what has become increasingly apparent is that the major university centers are positioning themselves to become a force to deal with when negotiating with insurance companies. This is certainly understandable given the unpredictable path of healthcare in the United States. However, what is eminently clear is that for this to happen the doctors of the next several decades will become employees of these major healthcare conglomerates. I am concerned that this phenomenon will have a significantly negative impact on the doctor patient relationship resulting in further straining of an already stressed environment. Further and more importantly the changes in a doctor's orientation that will inevitably become apparent with employment may even affect patient outcomes, the very issue we are focused on improving. I believe that preserving the doctor patient relationship is central to healing and health, and have decided not to become an employee of the major healthcare systems. The mission of Aronchick Gastroenterology Inc. is to provide expert care through highly skilled endoscopic techniques, accurate diagnostic capabilities and experienced therapeutic modalities developed through 3 decades of practice, all of this in an environment of personalized attention.

The reason I am leaving a bad review is because it was impossible to schedule a follow up appointment with this doctor.

Very professional, and answered all my questions.
Verified patient
The whole visit felt impersonal, from the surgery center office, to his bedside manner. I also didn’t appreciate the doctor referring to me as “Son”. He barely asked questions or examined me before pressuring me to schedule a colonoscopy.

He’s a great doctor

Dr. Aronchick saved my life. He was the first doctor to take my symptoms seriously after almost 5 years of symptoms and no help from my primary care. He ordered a colonoscopy and endoscopy right away, and found stage III colon cancer. He referred to me to the best surgeon for the job. The continuity of care is unparalleled. He is a single private practice and you get care above and beyond what you get in larger offices with too many patients. LOVE Dr. Aronchick and could never thank him enough for saving me!!
Verified patient
It was a great experience, Dr. Aronchick very professional and expert as well... The staff are very friendly and the health care providers are very professional and friendly as well.. Dr. Aronchick is highly recommended and also the Wills Surgical Center where I had my investigations done.

More thorough and caring than any of my other doctors that I have been going to for the last 1 1/2 years. Very helpful and knowledgeable. Even better than my primary.
Verified patient
I have been a patient of Dr. Aronchick for over 30 years. He is knowledgeable, attentive and a very good doctor, solving many difficult gastrointestinal problems for me. I highly recommend him. And the fact that he uses Zoc Doc makes being his patient all the better. I see what's available and can schedule my appointment then and there.
Verified patient

I think he is a good dr. I hope he can help my husband with his stomach issues. He is very reassuring to us that he will be ok. and there is hope. He made us feel so much better.
Verified patient
Dr. Aronchick correctly diagnosed and treated me for a healed gastric ulcer 26 years ago. So when the same symptoms grew more serious after a recent surgery, I went back to him. I had confidence in him in him then and do now.
Verified patient
Dr. Aronchick was very nice and asked rhe right questions. I was also able to quickly schedule further testing. But my appointment was at 1:30 and I was seen at 2:40pm.
Verified patient
I was seen right away for my appointment and Dr Aronchick was very patient as he listened to my issues. I had a follow up question and texted him and he responded right away. I was pleased with my initial visit.

Dr. Aronchick was very professional with me and did not keep me waiting long for my appointment. He was thorough with his questioning and examination and listened to what I had to say. Overall, a very pleasant experience.
Verified patient
He is an exceptional doctor and a compassionate human being. I've known him for 20 years and have always felt safe and cared for with every issue I've had.
Verified patient
Dr. Aronchick is an incredible doctor. Not only is he extremely knowledgeable of his field; he is also highly concerned about the physical and emotional well-being of his patients and the effects an illness has on their entire family. He freely gives patients his cell phone number and encourages them to call or e-mail him with any questions/concerns. He cares a lot about his patients and it shows; it's truly a privilege to be under his care.
Verified patient
Dr Aronchick listened carefully and made sure he understand my complicated medical history. I loved that he takes you personally from the waiting room into the exam room. He had sensible suggestions and I felt heard. He's my 6th gastro in Philly. And I will continue to see him.
Verified patient
Fantastic doctor, his bedside manner was very reassuring and he is very direct and to-the-point in discussing symptoms and going over treatment options and potential issues. I went in for a consultation and then for a recommended colonoscopy, he did the procedure and I felt very good the whole time. His instructions and follow-ups are excellent too, highly recommended.
