Dr. Pieroni is the absolute best. She is kind, friendly, caring and considerate. Many doctors do not care but it is very clear that she does. It also helps that she is a great person, and an excellent doctor.

Dr. Cristiana Pieroni is a board-certified ophthalmologist specializing in disease and surgery of the retina and vitreous. After graduating cum laude from Tufts University, she received her medical degree from the UMDNJ/Robert Wood Johnson Medical. She completed her ophthalmology residency at Tufts University/New England Eye Center. She received her subspecialty training in vitreoretinal surgery from Cornell University/New York Presbyterian Hospital.
A member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American Society of Retina Specialists, Dr. Pieroni has co-authored several research articles. In addition to treating patients at Retina Specialist PC, Dr. Pieroni is an active researcher in the field of ophthalmology and diseases of the retina. Her surgical interests include retinal detachment repair, epiretinal membrane peeling, macular hole repair, and retained lens fragment removal. She also specializes in the surgical and medical treatment of diabetic retinopathy and macular degeneration.

For the 10 minutes that I saw the doctor she was great. But, the two hours that it took to actually see her was ridiculous. The doctor was aplogetic, but based on other reviews, it seems that this is a common occurance.

Dr. Pieroni is a great doctor. Upon my first visit she spent extensive time with me assesing my problem to diagnose my rare eye condition. Since then she has diligently managed my eye condition for the last 5 years to a very high standard.
